be aware of the children

yet again a child is run over in a driveway, this sort of thing really irks me.

I understand that small children can be one place one minute and gone the next.

But when we were small, dad either put us in the car, which at an age where you have to sit in a child seat its a big thrill to sit in the front seat or has us stand on the front step holding onto the pole. Apart from that we were not allowed out the front without supervision, dad is a security freak, the front door is always locked, and the side gate was chained shut, its since been replaced with a carport and a tilt-a-door which is really hard to open mostly due to it being fairly old.

I know accidents do happen, and we don’t know the full circumstances as with most new stories but for goodness sake people, you have small children, keep an eye on them, be aware that they can not be seen at the back of the car unless you have a fancy camera thing, accidents like this are really preventable with a little thought and much less haste

Oh the YOYO of life

we occasionally are going to do a knock down re-build when w have the funds or equity available, today we are not, The boy made a very good point, although it would be nice to have a big fancy house, we don’t really need it this one does have 3 bedrooms, a functioning kitchen, an OK bathroom etc.

and so the yo-yo starts again, if we aren’t going to build a new house I would like to

  • make the main living areas, hard floors, slate, tiles or floating boards
  • get the sun-room rebuilt as a proper room, at the same level as the house
  • the laundry made into a cupboard, so it’s not always visible
  • get the window in Miss L’s room made bigger and all of the windows replaced with aluminium sliding ones(currently are wood push out type, they hurt)
  • have the kitchen/dining re-modeled
  • have the driveway done in stencilcrete (there will be a debate about the colours, he’ll want charcoal I’ll want terracotta)
  • have the roof done in colour-bond (see above debate, this time, grey v red)

I think that’s about it for now, all stuff that can be done gradually without us having to move out don’t want much do I

how embaressment

ok so we went all the way to the other side of the city for morning tea it was nice one of those designer magazine houses that we all dream about but could never keep that way or afford. Disscussion was of course baby and parenting choices focused….

I choose not to share too much, they are very anti imunisation, I just don’t like the Idea of newborns being treated as pin cussions, I wonder if there are perhaps a few diseases that are imunised against these days that weren’t b4 that are possibly better(immune wise) if caught than injected and I know there are others that thanks to being immunised people have caught and survived where in the past they wouldn’t have.

they were also all very much in a higher social class than I am, so have different intrests and abilities to do things, quite a few yoga teachers too.

everyone was surprised that I felt thing were easier than expected, someone made a comment about my hair being done and all, no I just have a great hairdresser, to use kelly’s term I <3 him, then they were surprised that I had gone to the hair dresser some of them have babies over 6 months and still haven’t made it, I didn’t bother mentioning that I have been going to that hair dresser since I was 7 and his daughter held miss while mum got her hair done then mum held her, or for that matter that my mum and I make going to get a hair cut a day out every 6-8 weeks starting at 730 when mum picks me(now us) up including a wander round the shops, breakfast and coffee

now for the embaressing bit, miss did a big poop it leaked out of the leg of her nappy, down my white pants and onto the lady’s rug :oops: then after I changed her she chucked all over me :oops: I left shortly after that

oh B4 I go Magnetobold I haven’t eaten it yet but I will be thinking of you when I do

I’m a pink tragic

firstly I’m very pleased with myself, we went for a walk this afternoon, too the shop

I’m going to a morning tea tomorrow and needed icing mixture for my slice

while I was out I saw a dangly bug thing, thought that would be good to hang off the stroller…. its pink

on the way home I was thinking about what we have that fits miss, everything I was wondering about was pink or frilly……..  very sad

an update on us

We have a car :D

it fits in the car port and a bike can fit past it Yaay

Miss has been growing, now 4.9Kg and 60cm
